The Challenge
A running agent can still have configuration conflicts, disabled plugins, and confusing log warnings. Raw logs alone do not establish a root cause, and sharing them can expose sensitive information.
The Solution
Created a local triage layer that correlates Hermes configuration, plugin state, and recent log evidence into conservative findings with severity, confidence, and recommendations. Doctorpack complements the built-in diagnostics and can write a local Markdown incident postmortem. Its catalog contribution was merged by teknium1 in NousResearch/hermes-agent PR #137826 on October 16, 2026. It remains independently maintained as a community plugin, not a built-in or Nous-maintained component.
